Pastor John Payton

Pastor John Payton was taught to love God as a young child. At the age of 8, he accepted Christ under the pastorate of the late Rev. Noah W. White, Sr. and has been preaching since the age of sixteen. He was raised under the teachings of the Church of God Movement out of Anderson Indiana for 15 years. In 1996, he was trained and licensed as a minister at the Christian Fellowship Evangelistic Church under Pastor Donald Outterbridge, and served as their Minister of Music for two years. In 1997, John was led to join Bible Fellowship Church of God under the pastorate of Pastor Benjamin Graves where he served as an associate minister and minister of music from 1997-2004.

During the term of his service at Bible Fellowship, John courted Donna Marie Rolland. In, 1998, John and Donna were married and they are the parents to three children Justin, Samantha, and Shatele, and they are grandparents to Zaniyah, Ashynah and Aaron.

John has always had a heart for music and worship. His love for God, music and evangelism lead to the founding of The Perfecting Holiness Outreach Chorale in 1995. The group was comprised of some of the best musicians and singers of the Tri-State area. They independently released their first live recorded album titled, “To Be Like Christ”, in October of 2002.

As John continued to follow the pathway that God designed and he was led to become the Worship and Fine Arts Council Leader for Freedom Christian Bible Fellowship in August of 2004. There, John served under Apostle Gilbert Coleman for 11 years. During the course of serving at Freedom Christian Bible Fellowship, John heard a word from the Lord calling him to pursue development of Perfecting Holiness Outreach Ministries in 2016.

John is focused on building Perfecting Holiness Outreach Ministries to be a place where worship, the Word of God and Intercession are the key foundational pillars, and where the gospel is preached from a missional perspective to all who will receive the message.

In 2014, John made the decision to enhance his personal development which resulted in the completion of his Bachelor of Science Degree in Integrated Leadership in August of 2016.

In 2019, John was affirmed and confirmed an Apostle in the Lord’s church in August of 2019 by Joy Alliance and KOGIAH Ministires.

John began work on his Masters of Divinity degree at Missio Theological Seminary, formerly known as Biblical Theological Seminary. He graduated with his Masters of Divinity in Pastoral Studies from Missio Seminary (Formerly Biblical Theological Seminary) in June of 2020 and was the recipient of the Manny Ortiz Urban Ministry Of Excellence Award in 2020 from Missio.

John is the founder and overseer of the A.C.T.S Kingdom Fellowship which is a ministry comprised of various spiritual leaders from various denominations.
